Research on Robot-Assisted Gait Training in Children With Cerebral Palsy

In 2024, research conducted using our Walkbot by the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Chungnam National University College of Medicine was published in DMCN, a leading journal in pediatric medicine. The study focused on robot-assisted gait training (RAGT) in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Participants were assigned to three training-intensity groups to identify the optimal intensity by adjusting body-weight support, walking speed, and guidance force.

According to the published paper, Chungnam National University Hospital demonstrated improvements in everyday functional performance with Walkbot at all training intensities. High-intensity training was more effective for motor function, while low-intensity training was more effective for balance control.
